One Click Commenting For Blogs?

Read this one on Tech Crunch today while trying to catch up on my aggregator. After reading some of the comments it definitely got some mixed reviews. I’ve some mixed emotions about this and I have to admit I’m not sure whether or not I like it or despise it. I do know this, I will definitely not add it to my blog, this much I know.

I will admit that sometimes as I’m reading someone else’s blog, I really have an indifference to what is being said and I move along. Call it ambivalence, call it what you want. That’s the beauty of blogging, anyone can have one, not everyone has to comment. It’s like a free-market society out there. In education, both as a professional development tool and a classroom learning tool, the blog is about communication. Communicating thoughts and ideas to an audience to enhance learning. I think for the casual blogging enthusiast this might be a great way to get started/used to commenting or reading posts. I just think it might hinder the progress that blogging has made in the educational community.

I’d move to rename it from clickcomments to ‘one click reactions’ instead. But that’s just me.

As always, I’m…

Seeking the Wisdom of the Ages…
