Woot!

Steve Dembo blogged about Woot! about a week or so ago. I’d actually been turned onto Woot! by a friend in my online gaming guild. Woot! basically has a one deal one day concept and usually they are a VERY good deal. Take today’s for example. Where else can you go and find 2 Logitech headphone splitters for $1.99 (don’t forget the shipping!)
As a teacher, I’m always looking for the ‘cheap’ buy. I myself picked up 5 of these. Which is the beauty of this blog/site. Not many days will you find stuff that can be used in the classroom. Some might argue, "Tom, what in the world do you need with 10 headphone splitters?" Imagine if you will, you have a podcasting lab of say 10 iPods or Creative Labs Zen Nano Plus (which I adore mine!). Adding this little doodad now allows 2 people to work on/listen to a downloaded podcast at the same time.
Quite innocuous, but very viable in its application. And at $15 for the 10 of them, it’s a steal that won’t break your wallet. Don’t believe me, check here at CompUSA. Every little bit helps!
